My name is Chris Childers; however, everyone knows me as “Hillbilly”, a nickname I have had for over 30 years. I am originally from West Virginia, where my true love for the outdoors began.  After moving to Ohio, I continued to hunt and fish and spend as much time outdoors as possible. In addition to my love for hunting, I also enjoy woodworking and creating things that are hand crafted. I started making turkey calls over 10 years ago as a simple hobby.  Being able to create a call from a solid piece of wood that sounded so realistic and had amazing results in the woods was so inspiring.  Recently a buddy of mine asked me if I could make him a duck call and I decided to take on that challenge. After lots of trial and error I was able to create an all-wood call that has just the right tone and pitch that duck hunters desire.  

My goal is to create a call that looks good as well as sounds good. No two calls will ever be identical. Each one is individually hand crafted one at a time. I hand-tune each call to achieve the most natural, realistic sound. I take pride in constructing one-of-a-kind custom calls for both turkey and duck hunters.

I never imagined my lifelong love for hunting would have turned into this journey of creating custom game calls. Thank you to all my family and friends who have encouraged me and supported me in this adventure. I would not be where I am today without you!
